The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
