Just as the recent storm tore through the northwest the prior day, the home side blew United aside at the Etihad Stadium. It was a convincing 3-0 victory for their manager's side thanks to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a display that firmly established their leadership claims as they reinforced their place at the WSL pinnacle.
